Analytics (GSC & GA4)
Vireloop pulls real performance data from Google Search Console and Google Analytics 4, so the dashboard, best-articles list, and the content-decay audit run on actual numbers, not guesses.
How it authenticates
Both use a Google service account (no OAuth, no app approval). You grant the service-account email access to your property, then connect it in settings. Credentials stay server-side.
Google Search Console
- Add the service-account email as a user on your Search Console property.
- In Settings → Google Search Console, detect and connect the matching property. Vireloop backfills history and keeps recent windows in sync.
- KPIs shown: clicks, impressions, average CTR and position (last 28 days), plus top pages and queries. GSC data lags ~2–3 days.
Google Analytics 4
- Add the same service-account email as a Viewer in GA4 (Admin → Property Access Management). GA4 can reuse the GSC service account or use its own key.
- In Settings → Google Analytics, enter your numeric GA4 property ID and connect.
- KPIs shown: sessions, engaged sessions, engagement rate, and conversions (last 28 days). Engagement rate is an early warning for content decay.
Keeping data fresh
The autopilot worker re-syncs both on every run; you can also refresh manually from each settings page. KPIs appear on the dashboard once a site is connected and data has synced.
